Feather River

Salmon are being caught daily as well as some steelhead. Salmon have been upwards of the 20 pound range and steelhead up to around 5 pounds.

The Oroville outlet hole is producing well for anglers throwing beads up near the wall of the outlet itself.

Salmon are also being caught on plugs with steady results. Brad’s Killer Fish is the preferred lure with a sardine wrap using stretchy thread to keep it in place. Brad’s Killer Fish in the KF-15 and KF-16 sizes have been producing. Colors that seem to be working are the chartreuse and silver as well as the dragon fly pattern.

Hanging roe has also been producing. Roe cured with Pro-Cure seems to be giving the edge.

Sacramento River

The Sacramento RIver has been producing salmon as well from Butte City to Rooster’s Landing in all the known fishing holes. Fishing has been most productive trolling in slow water with sardine wrapped Brad’s Killer Fish. Sizes and colors that are producing are the same as the Feather River with the KF-15 and KF-16 in the chartreuse and silver and dragon fly pattern.

Hanging and dragging roe is also been working.
